Hallstrom
Hallstrom
A family band raised just outside of Seattle, Hallstrom is an indie-folk band with electric tendencies. This means that banjos and keytars get equal stage time. Different stories call for different voices, so Tom & Kate Hallstrom make use of whatever instrument the song calls for, whether that's a Fender Rhodes piano rescued from the dump, garage-built guitars, a drum set assembled in an astrophysics lab, garbage cans & chains, guitars Tom's dad toured with in the '70s or yard-sale accordions.

After releasing a handful of EPs recorded under different names, Tom & Kate gathered up a few brothers, their dad and some friends at a cabinet shop-turned-studio and recorded their first full-length album. Not satisfied with the results, they recorded it two more times. "Out on the Borderlands, Down in the Valley" was finally released in October 2013 under the least clever band name they could come up with: Hallstrom.

The songs wrestle with the connections made and lost between brothers and sisters, the roots we cut and then bind with our parents and the redemption that all of us are hoping for.
Brady Toops
Brady Toops
Having grown up in New London, a small Minnesota town, Brady Toops spent the majority of his early years running around on diamonds and athletic fields. After making a brief stint in Minor League Baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals, he left the world of athletics in 2006 to pursue his first love, music. Being accustomed to life on the road and traveling more miles than one cares to count, Brady finally made his way to Franklin, TN to work with songwriter/producer Anthony Skinner. In the early summer of 2011, his 5 song EP, "A Little Love", was released.

Now based out of Nashville, TN, Brady Toops released his latest project, a self-titled full length album in the late summer months of 2013, debuting at #8 on the Christian/Gospel iTunes charts authenticating the grassroots following he's developed over the last few years. The new album was produced by David Leonard (of All Sons and Daughters) and displays a unique combination of spirituals and folk tunes showcasing Toops' gospel roots. As an indie artist who often defies category, Brady continues to redefine the proposed gap between the sacred and secular, making music that truly appeals to the soul.

Kevin Davis of NewReleaseTuesday.com commented in his review of the new record, "My favorite types of albums grow deeper with each listen, and Brady Toops is the deepest album I've heard all year." RELEVANT Magazine recently featured Toops on their highly popular RELEVANT Studio Sessions, naming him "one of our favorite new artists." In the last year, Toops has toured the United States tirelessly, playing alongside artists like John Mark McMillan, David Crowder, and Ellie Holcomb, turning new listeners into devoted fans with his modern, yet time worn songwriting approach and rustic baritone voice.
Byland
Byland
Byland is an Indie Folk, Singer & Songwriter duo that began in December of 2013 when Alie Renee, a powerful yet mesmerizing vocalist from the desert of Albuquerque, NM married Jacob John, a hopeful lyricist and dreamer from the Pacific Northwest. Alie grew up listening to legends like Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash and learning from modern folk artists such as Brandi Carlile. Jake’s upbringing taught him to appreciate the lyrical genius and simplicity of Classic Country. Influenced by the desert and the mountains as well as their diverse backgrounds, the two write music together they hope will inspire those they get to share it with. Byland believes that honest lyrics sung with genuine emotion make for great music. They are currently performing throughout the Greater Seattle Area while they work on their first album.
